The story of the collection
Outside, matte black - even and quiet, like a school blackboard. Inside, a cornflower-blue gloss, bright and unexpected. Oula Matte Blue is a collection with a secret: while the plate is empty and sits on the shelf it is austere; set it on the table and the blue opens up.
The smooth Oula shape is especially right here. A gently tapered mug, a plate with a low rim, a half-sphere bowl - nothing distracts from the contrast. The blue field works as a frame for the food: fish, lemon and herbs look painted on it, white rice looks like snow. The black rim holds the eye at the centre.
