The story of the collection
There is a blue that is not about the sky but about depth. The indigo of a denim jacket, fjord water at dusk, ink a pen has just been dipped into. Ostita Blue Black begins with that colour - dense, matte, with a faint ripple in the glaze as if it had been brushed on by hand.
The Ostita shape is fluted. Vertical ridges run the full height of every piece and finish in a soft scalloped rim, like a seashell. Light settles into each ridge, so the tableware feels alive even on an empty table. Inside the bowls and mugs there is a black mirror of glossy glaze. Pour a coffee and it vanishes into the dark, leaving only the aroma.
Who it is for. For those who love the evening and love contrast. For people who care how a thing sits in the hand: ridges under the fingers, the weight of a dense body, a dark line along the rim.
