Nordic Green Brown

There is a green that shouts. And there is a green that breathes. Nordic Green Brown is about the second one. A muted sage-eucalyptus tone, smoky and matte, as if taken not from a bright summer leaf but from the underside of a eucalyptus branch dusted with morning haze. A colour that never argues with the food and never competes for attention. It simply creates a background against which everything else becomes more beautiful.

In the studio we called this collection Sage - after the herb whose smoky green became its starting point. But the real magic is in the pairing. The sage-green matte glaze covers the plates, bowls and mugs inside and above, while the lower rim and the foot are left untouched: raw terracotta clay in a warm brick-orange tone. Green and terracotta are nature's own complement, two colours that always stand side by side in the wild: leaves and soil, pine needles and a clay pot, eucalyptus and red earth. The eye rests on this pairing because it recognises it without words.

This is tableware for the moments when you want not just to feed someone, but to care for them. For yourself, for the people close to you, for the beauty of an ordinary day.
